North Yarmouth – Barry Coolbrith, 60, died on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough surrounded by his loving family.
Barry was born on July 20, 1959 in Portland, the son of the late Royce “Barry” and Carol B. Coolbrith. He grew up in South Portland and graduated from South Portland High School. At the age of 15, Barry was an accomplished golfer and he won the Golf Club Championship.
After high school Barry worked in the carpentry, service, parts and distribution industries. In his free time, he continued to play golf as well as softball, table tennis and darts. The loved to spend his afternoons on his ride-on lawn mower. He was also a partner at White Pine Community Church. He will be remembered as loving, caring, supportive, funny and charming man that had unconditional loyalty to his family.
He was predeceased by brother, Dean Ridlon. He is survived by his wife, Debra L. Coolbrith of North Yarmouth; children, Seth R. Coolbrith and his wife Jennifer of Washington D.C., Ryan M. Coolbrith of Westbrook, Barry T. Coolbrith and his partner Carley Hennessey of Sturbridge, MA, Aaron D. Coolbrith and his partner Brittney of Dover, NH; his siblings, Steve Ridlon and Sharon Collbrith of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Ayden, Reese, Sylas, Annaya.
A service will be held at White Pine Community Church, 94 Cumberland Road, North Yarmouth, on Saturday, November 30, at 11AM.
