Portland – Paul Andrew McKenna, 55, played his final “gig” on December 26, 2019. Paul was born in Portland on December 9, 1964, the son of Harry and Nancy (Knight) McKenna.
Paul spent his life in Portland, attending Portland schools and was a graduate of Portland High, class of 1982. Following high school Paul worked for Nicholas for 19 years and was a machinist by day, rock and roll legend by night. Paul’s defiant personality got the attention of Jennifer Joy and they were married in July of 1986, in Portland, spending 33 years together before his untimely passing.
Paul had many passions in life, spending time with his family, playing bass guitar in the band Destroyer and golfing.
His loving and compassionate personality will be missed by many.
Paul was predeceased in life by his parents, Harry and Nancy McKenna. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer McKenna of Portland; his son, Brandon McKenna of Portland; his daughter, Jessie Dye of Westbrook and his sister, Cheryl Merchant of Fairfax, Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held on Jan.18th at 1:00 at the Elks club on Congress Street.
